my services
I have been a psychotherapist for over 10 years, working with individuals, couples, families and groups in short term therapy and long term in-depth work. Being with you in collaborative partnership is my focus, whether you are exploring specific life issues or pursuing deeper self understanding. Usually, therapy sessions are scheduled once weekly and are 50 minutes long. The frequency and length of sessions is open for discussion and often negotiated and renegotiated as needs may vary. Therapy via telephone or online therapy is also available for those who are unable to attend in person. As well, I provide clinical supervision and consultation for other therapists in the field.
fees
My fees are negotiated and set in collaboration with each new and existing client. There are a limited number of spaces set aside at a reduced rate. I value open, honest conversations about peoples’ financial needs as situations may change while they are engaged in therapy. Some employee insurance plans may partially cover the cost of psychotherapy. It may be worthwhile for you to explore this option if you have access to some coverage.
how do I start
To begin, you can contact me, and we can schedule a confidential consultation. This is an opportunity for us to meet, and have a chance to get to know one another and the space between us. You can ask me questions, and talk about what is bringing you to therapy. We will also explore whether my skills meet your needs, and look at availability and fees. The first few times we meet I'll invite you to tell me about yourself, your history, and your story. This is the beginning of therapy where you start to tell your story in whatever way feels right to you. This telling, retelling, editing and exploring is the heart of therapy, and it begins the process of change.
